Ledderhose disease
Ledderhose disease (Dupuytren's of the foot) is a type of Plantar Fibromatosis. If you have this condition, you may start to see hard, round or even flat lumps growing on the sole of your foot. This growths are painless at first, but can start to become painful as they slowly get bigger. This condition usually affects both feet. These lumps are thought to caused by benign thickening of the connective tissue (fascia) in the sole of your foot. The small lumps that you would see are also called Plantar Fibroma.

You may be recommended a fasciectomy if you have been diagnosed with Ledderhose disease. A fasciectomy is the surgical removal of the fascial tissue. The surgery rate of success can be mixed as the disease often reoccurs.
